Battelle Science & Technology Malaysia uses every available method to commercialize technology:
- Out-licensing of technologies developed by Battelle-Malaysia or its partner, Battelle, with or without associated technology development R&D activities
- In-licensing of third-party technologies for development (and subsequent licensing) by Battelle-Malaysia or its partner, Battelle
- Cost-shared, co-development activities with third party licensees to develop Battelle-Malaysia or Battelle and third-party technologies
- Product development for third parties
- Venture funding (generally through Battelle Ventures) of start-up companies formed to commercialize technologies.
